I love when couples tell their love story at their wedding reception because even if every single guest knows the intricate details of how they met it is still fun and new to me. Kendra & Nathanial’s story was one of the best I have heard. The two went to elementary school together and played little league on the same team but they didn’t have much love for one another. Nathanial’s mom even found a year book from fourth grade and he had drown devil horns and a mustache on Kendra’s photograph. Before their dislike could turn to love Nathanial moved away in fifth grade.
Four years ago Kendra was out with a ex-boyfriend and some friends celebrating her ex-boyfriends birthday and on our way our Nathanial saw her and yelled at her which sparked a conversation. They did not exchange telephone numbers. A couple of days later they found each other on Facebook. For their first date they went to his church and after service when Kendra was about to leave he kissed her in the church parking love and she felt fireworks. At that moment she knew she would marry Nathanial.
Their wedding was full of beautiful handmade touches from Etsy and my favorite items of all… family heirlooms. Kendra’s grandmother’s wedding gown along with the outfit her grandparents brought her dad home from the hospital in were featured design elements.
