Anna contacted me slightly frantic a few weeks ago. Her fiancée, Josh, had proposed this summer and they were getting married in October of THIS year. Fate sometimes works in mysterious ways and in this case it intervened. I had not booked a wedding in October because of obligations in my personal life. At the same time Anna contacted me I found out the events in my personal life would be wrapped up before her big day. It was as though God knew we needed each other. He works in mysterious ways sometimes…
Since she booked so late Anna wasn’t expecting me to have time to shoot an engagement session but I never had engagement photos and I regret it to this day. I wasn’t about to let her not have engagement photos! We met in downtown Charleston for their engagement session on the night of the Lady Antebellum concert. Seriously folks, finding a parking spot on the night of a huge country concert in this city is almost impossible.
I never know what to expect when I first meet a client at their engagement session and I’m usually nervous. Anna & Josh were a breath of fresh air.
Anna & Josh met 10 years ago in church but it took them 8 years before they began to date. Since their relationship started at church and they have a deep faith in God they wanted to incorporate their faith in their session. I won’t lie. I had NO idea how I was going to do that! We arrived at their reception location to shoot a few shots and inspiration hit. They were going to sit and read the bible together. The sweetest thing happened when I asked them to pretend to read the bible. Josh opened the bible to a verse and actually read it to Anna. I melted.
Congratulations Anna & Josh. I have no doubt your wedding is going to be as stunning as you are!
